When www and other subdomains need a separate check
Do not silently treat every subdomain as the same casino destination; record any accepted alias explicitly.
The distinction that matters
A hostname comparison needs a defined scope. www.casino.example and casino.example are different strings, even when a publisher intentionally operates both. Similarly, help.casino.example may be a support site rather than the gaming destination. An alias is an evidence-backed mapping, not a rule that every prefix can be ignored.
A worked example
Suppose a source lists play.casino.example. Your bookmark contains www.casino.example. It might lead to a genuine corporate page, but that possibility does not prove it is the listed product endpoint. A careful record keeps the original listed address and adds an alias only when a suitable source establishes the relationship.
Your next steps
- Keep the complete hostname including its prefix.
- Look for an explicit source linking the alternative address.
- Identify whether the address is for play, support or a corporate homepage.
- Leave an unexplained alternative unmatched.
Where this answer stops
Strict matching can produce an unresolved result for a genuine website. That is preferable to inventing equivalence. It should prompt a source check, not an accusation or an invitation to test the site by making a deposit.
