Separate document expiry from the upload date
A file uploaded today can show an expired document. Those dates answer different questions.
The distinction that matters
The issue date, expiry date and submission timestamp should remain separate. When a request specifies a valid identity document, its stated validity condition is not satisfied simply by taking a new photograph of the same item. An alternative document is acceptable only when the recipient's own instructions allow it.
A worked example
Imagine a passport that expired in August and a photo taken in November. Renaming the file 'November ID' changes neither the document nor its expiry. The useful question is whether the operator accepts another current document or provides a process while a replacement is pending.
Your next steps
- Read the validity requirement in the verified request.
- Inspect the original document's dates.
- Ask about alternatives through the operator's support channel.
- Preserve the reason given for any rejection.
Where this answer stops
Northline does not assess identity documents or decide which types are legally sufficient. Never change an expiry date or conceal it. Keep the actual document out of public forums and out of this website's forms.
