Prepare a clear query for the receiving institution

Contact the bank about a documented transfer, not an unexplained pending request that has not been dispatched.

The distinction that matters

Collect the sender's stated dispatch date, amount, currency and usable reference. Keep the bank's response separate from the operator's account status. A receiving institution may need particular information to investigate; follow its secure contact procedure rather than sending full statements to third parties.

A worked example

Your operator confirms a transfer in CAD with a reference, while no credit appears. Your question to the bank can identify those facts and ask whether the transfer is pending, rejected or not found. If the bank reports a return, take that specific status back to the operator with the relevant reference.

Your next steps

  • Confirm dispatch first.
  • Use the bank's verified support channel.
  • Record the bank's exact response and date.
  • Reconcile any return or rejection with the operator's record.

Where this answer stops

This is a communication worksheet, not banking or legal advice. It does not assert that a bank must locate every transfer immediately. Avoid inferring a reason for rejection from a missing credit alone.
